Field Signal Map ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account with Field Signal Map, we collect your name and email address. When you use the platform, we store the scan inputs you submit and the results generated for your account. We also collect subscription and billing-related information — however, full payment card details are never stored by us; they are handled directly by our PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We collect analytics and usage data such as pages visited, features used, and session activity to operate and improve the platform. We may use cookies or session tokens to maintain your logged-in state and to understand how the platform is being used.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: operate and maintain your account; generate scan results and analyses based on inputs you provide; personalize your dashboard, weekly briefs, and recommendations to reflect your past activity; send platform updates and communications you have opted into (such as the Weekly Field Brief or recheck reminders); process subscription billing through our payment provider; maintain platform security and prevent abuse; and improve the analytical quality and user experience of the platform over time. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. Scan Data
Scan inputs you submit and the results generated from them are stored securely and associated with your account. Your scan content is used to produce your personal analysis and, in aggregate and anonymized form, to improve the analytical models underlying the platform. You can view your scan history from your dashboard. If you wish to delete individual scans or all of your scan data, you may do so from your account or by contacting us.
4. Subscription and Billing Data
If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing is processed through our third-party payment provider (currently Stripe). We receive confirmation of your subscription status and plan tier but do not store your full card number, CVV, or bank details. 5. Cookies and Session Data
We use cookies and session tokens to keep you logged in and to understand aggregate usage patterns across the platform. We do not use cookies to track you across third-party websites or for behavioral advertising. You can clear cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect your logged-in state.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and scan history for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your personal data and scan history will be removed within 30 days of confirmed receipt of your request, except where retention is required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized team members. We do not store payment card details — payments are processed by a PCI-compliant third-party provider. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take this responsibility seriously.
8. Your Rights and Data Requests
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can manage much of this directly through your account settings. To request account deletion, a copy of your data, or correction of inaccurate information, contact us at hello@fieldsignalmap.com with the subject line "Data Request." We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete it within 30 days. If you are located in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you may have additional rights including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Public Beta Notice
Field Signal Map is currently operating as a public beta product. Some features, data handling practices, and platform capabilities may evolve as the product develops. We will update this Privacy Policy to reflect material changes and notify you by email when we do so.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date and notify you by email if the changes are material. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
